An American primetime medical drama, Grey’s Anatomy replaced Boston Legal on March 27, 2005. The story of this show focuses on Dr. Meredith Grey who starts off as a surgical intern at Seattle Grace Hospital in Seattle, Washington.
The main focus of thoe show circles around five major characters: Meredith Grey (played by Ellen Pompeo), Alex Karev (played by Justin Chambers), George O’Malley (played by T. R. Knight), Izzie Stevens (played by Katherine Heigl), and Cristina Yang (played by Sandra Oh). In addition to these characteres, there is also Miranda Bailey (played by Chandra Wilson), Richard Webber (played by James Pickens, Jr.), Derek Shepherd (played by Patrick Dempsey), and Preston Burke (played by Isaiah Washington).
There are currently six seasons of Grey’s Anatomy, and Season 6 started Thursday, September 24, 2009 at 9:00 pm Eastern or 8:00 PM Central.
